This nationally recognised course equips educators and carers with the skills to provide first aid in education and care settings. You’ll learn how to respond to emergencies involving infants, children, and adults, including performing CPR, using defibrillators, managing asthma and anaphylaxis, and treating common injuries. The course also covers infection control, legal and duty-of-care requirements, and effective communication and documentation to ensure compliance with ACECQA and the National Quality Framework.
Units of Competency:
– HLTAID012 – Provide First Aid in an education and care setting
Must be an Australian or New Zealand Citizen or hold an appropriate visa allowing the candidate to undertake education. Please note: CVM Academy is not a CRICOS provider and cannot enrol students on an international student visa.
Minimum age: 14 years
Level of English: A reasonable level of English is required to be able to complete this course successfully
