Ampd Academy has partnered with the Australian Swim Schools Association (ASSA) to provide participants with a comprehensive course that provides essential knowledge and skills. This course is designed to enable individuals to become certified Swimming and Water Safety instructors, equipping them to professionally deliver Swimming and Water Safety programs and services to a diverse range of people who use aquatic environments.
Units of Competency:
- SISCAQU020 – Perform water rescues
- SISCAQU023 – Plan swimming lessons
- SISCAQU024 – Teach water familiarisation, buoyancy and mobility skills
- SISCAQU025 – Teach water safety and survival skills
- SISCAQU026 – Teach swimming strokes
Optional:
- HLTAID009 – Perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
Pre-requisite: A current First Aid (HLTAID011) certificate.
Minimum age: 16 years.
English proficiency: A reasonable level of English is necessary to successfully complete this course.
Eligibility: Candidates must be Australian or New Zealand citizens or hold an appropriate visa allowing them to undertake education.
Please note: Ampd Academy is not a CRICOS provider and cannot enroll students on an international student visa.
